No Checks. No Stamps. No Problems.
As I grow older (officially hit the big 3-0 this year), I have noticed that time seems to fly faster than ever. There never seems to be enough time in the day to accomplish everything on that to-do list of mine. As a working mom of a 2-year old in the midst of potty training, there is little time between my job, laundry and picking up the house (for the 6th time) to even catch my breath somedays. So when it comes time to pay bills, you can imagine how much I dread wasting valuable time filtering through statements, finding my check book (if I can even locate it in my purse) and physically mailing out payments… these are just a few of the reasons I started using bill pay through Kohler Credit Union’s beMOBILE services. Below are three benefits of paying bills electronically:
- Convenience is key - With bill pay, I am able to set up reoccurring payments or make a one-time payment. Whether I’m paying large companies such as my mortgage lender or an individual like my babysitter, bill pay gives me the flexibility to pay anyone, anywhere and anytime. Setting up reoccurring payments allows me to “set-em and forget-em,” freeing up more time and ensuring payments are made on time on a regular basis. This service is free to KCU members with a checking account and available on both desktop computers as well as mobile devices…making it easy for me to make a payment when I’m on the go!
- Say goodbye to stamps - With the increasing cost of postage, what better way to eliminate that expense entirely. Through bill pay, Kohler Credit Uniontakes care of delivering your payment in a timely manner at no cost to you. A book of 20 stamps costs more than 2 Venti Strawberry & Crème Frappuccino’s these days… now I don’t know about you, but that sounds a bit more enjoyable than a pack of stickers to pay bills.
- Go green – Not only does bill pay decrease the number of stamps, envelopes and checks I use… I also signed up for e-bills, which allows me to receive my bills and send my payments in the digital banking platform… helping our environment and decluttering my mailbox.
So if you could use a little more free time, I encourage you to take the plunge and start using online bill pay. You’ll wonder why you waited so long!
