Located in KCU’s digital banking Card Management menu option, Card Controls gives you command over how, when and where your debit cards are used. First, enroll your card  in Card Management to access the features, which can be customized to fit your comfort level and lifestyle.

Features include:

• Activate new cards. No need to make a phone call unless you need to update your PIN.
• Enable/disable cards. Misplace your card? Temporarily disable it to prevent transactions until you find it!
• Report cards as lost/stolen. Can’t find your card? Permanently disable it by reporting it lost/stolen. (Note: Members still need to contact KCU to receive a new card.)
• Set alerts for purchases. Receive notifications via SMS text or email every time your card is used for a transaction. This allows for quick action if you see something you did not authorize. (Note: if you list both text and email, text will be your default alert channel, you will not receive emails.)
• Restrict usage. You can adjust your settings to limit transactions based on chosen geographic area, transaction category or dollar limit.
• Set travel notices. Indicate when you’ll be using your card away from home.
